Sheraton Jakarta Gandaria City Hotel just launch its soft opening in October 2015. This hotel has 293 guest rooms, the ballroom is on the 4th biggest in town. The room that I stayed has 34 sqm big, the Deluxe Room Type, lowest category room. It is a coincidence when I pick this hotel for my Saturday chill out and it was a big surprise for me when i found the fact that i love this hotel, seriously
It is exactly a modern, ellegant with the minimalist concept and a very new hotel buidling in town. At a glance in some area of the hotel the lay out is maybe look a little like Fairmont Hotel Jakarta BUT because Sheraton is not as bigger as Fairmont, the ambience looks more far warm and friendly for sure. The only challenge is about traffic but as you know jAKARTA has a very bad traffic experiences, so It could be find wherever place you stayed.
Anyway to my opinion there are 5 reasons you can try to book this hotel:
1. It is very adequate for Family Travel
Traveling with kids are not simple, you have to think about every single thing, right ? The Gandaria City Mall is just one door step away, the hotel location exactly at theend of the mall. The mid-scale Gandaria City Mall has children play ground and interesting area for kids. Kids food is very easy to find. Kids shop are also here too. Not to mention it is exactly a place for the family with kids.
2. Location wise in south part of Jakarta surrounding by Settlement Area
Location of the hotel is not in a Business District like Sudirman - Thamrin - Kuningan area but actually not too far from the TB Simatupang district, another growing business belt. Sheraton has a good point surrounded by Apartments and common houses, clusters, it means as a traveler you probably can easy to find the local experiences and customs of Jakartans, positively

Since some road access are in the progress of the construction, it is lucky if you have a flexible working hours, so the traffic coultd not be a factor.
