Sari Pan Paciffic Hotel Located at Jl. MT Thamrin 6, Jakarta Pusat, Exactly centrally located in a business district and near Sarinah shopping centre, restaurant, coffee shops, local cuisine, streetfood, and about 5 minutes walk from the giant shopping mall, the Grand Indoneisia, also near the museum, Monument National, etc. This is an 80's hotel buiding and interior. The Sari Pan Pacific Hotel under the management of Pan Pacific worldwide, member of Global Hotel Alliance. The typical hotel built in 80's are most in Indonesia typical, very vintage one.
The Hotel Atmosphere / Ambience
Indonesian heritage and style informs much of the hotels interior. The touch of the brown colour wooden Javanesse style is tight here. However most of the chairs are made from Rattan except in the lobby area, there are couch / sofa in the modern style here and I see only two rattan chairs in front of the GRO Desk. The Javanesse wooden style at the lobby area could be seen on the pilars and small cupboards are dominate the lobby area. After the entrance door at the lobby look up above and you can see the wooden balcony, from their balleroom area, and with the Javanesse wooden style a very vintage one. Entering the lobby at 7th floor, the room where I stayed (Standard Room Type), the vintage ambience is very tight. There are two rattan chairs, a table and the frame of Javanesse wood carving on the wall and also there is a mirror wooden-framed on the right hand, wow very vintage one. Going forward along the aisle to the room on 7th floor, I am pretty feel comfort because the alley looks bright. The alley is adorned with local batik fabric, it is cool. In the room, the vintage ambience is really tight here but one modern Television and modern closet (but the colour of the closet still have a touch of vintage by brown shinny colour) are more than enough to represent the recent era. The two vintage chairs and tables and the cupboard are the one dominated the ambience. Bed drape with the handmade songket, the signature fabric from Palembang - South Sumatra.
The Fiesta Restaurant & The Swimming Pool
The Fiesta Restaurant is opened for Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner. Buffet staions for Breakfast are complete enough although it is not too much like five star hotel in town but for me that is okay. The service are good, the serversare kind and helpfull. This Restaurant is not big but it is enough maybe to cater up until 100 pax but they have an outdoor table / gazebo there are about 10 tables there I guess. They have a very good view to the garden & swimming pool through the glasses. It is so green, exactly the good view. i did a snapshot of this greenery view, it is nice. There is an access from the Restaurant directly to the swimming pool. There is a mini garden around the swimming pool and the swimming pool ambience like an oasis among the hustle & bustle Jakarta, that is cool. From swimming pool there is a direct access to the Gym but through the stairs to the second floor, the view of the gym is straight to the greeny swimming pool.
Well overall service of the hotel staffs are good. The overall maintenance are very good, the equipment in the guest room especially at the bathroom and toilet still works well, no complaining about it. Also the electroninc equipment in the bedroom is fine all works well including the aircon, and no found any dusty here and wifi is fast, weww so great !!. So basically it is the best Classic Hotel in Jakarta and I could recommend this lovely Classic 4 Plus Star with a 5 star service. Then here we go, kindly find these following tips at your end:
1. If you look for the best prime location, this is it, it has an easy access to major tourist attraction, shopping malls, restaurant, street foodie, offices buildings, you can book for business or leisure
2. It is recommended for a group booking because the lobby is big to accommodate the group of people that coming at the sametime
3. There is a global membership / a loyalty program running for customer under Global Hotel Alliance, a Discovery Card. Everytime you stay in the Global Hotel Alliance chain you can get the point, to add this membership also have partnership with the airlines. So it is a good news for you knowing that you can earn point when you are staying here
4. If you like some classic type of the hotel room you can pick this hotel on standard room, without doubting you will like it as the price is still lower than 5 star hotel BUT you still can get 5 Star service, ok
5. If you are staying here at the hotel on Sunday, there is weekly Car Free Day program to Jakarta Residents. The busy MH Thamrin Road is closed for vehicles on both side of the road (except the one way Bus, Trans Jakarta, keep operating through the middle of the road).as Jakarta Residents are coming for morninng sport, cycling, running, walkiing along ther Road until Monument National area, the roadis closed from 6 until 12 am, fyi
6. It is better to request the room that facing to the main street, you can experience the live of Jakarta..
